Staff is always on duty on the Fitness Floor. Feel free to approach them with questions or comments. We provide two personal orientations to help you become familiar with the RAC equipment which includes:
- Over 130 pieces of cardiovascular equipment (Selected equipment with Personal Viewing Screens)
- 2 full sets of Cybex
- 1+ set of Free Motion Fitness
- Stretching area

The Rochester Athletic Club offers a unique comprehensive new member orientation program. It is comprised of the RAC R.E.S.U.L.Ts. consultation and an orientation to the fitness floor. The RAC R.E.S.U.L.Ts. (Reasons Everyone Should Understand Lifestyle Tendencies) is a one hour session with a RAC fitness professional to “map out” a path for the new member to optimal health. The orientation is a one on one also with a RAC fitness professional. The orientation consists of gathering baseline data such as resting heart rate, percent body fat, blood pressure, height, weight, and girth measurements. The new member is then introduced to the fitness floor and shown how to use the equipment. The fitness staff also devises a starter fitness program for the new member.
By taking advantage of both the RAC R.E.S.U.L.Ts. and orientation the new member can be assured that they will be armed with the necessary information and path to optimal health. To schedule an appointment for a RAC R.E.S.U.L.Ts. and an orientation, simply stop by the Fitness Desk or call 287-9320. (You must be 13 years or older to use the Fitness Floor.)
