With the arrival of the winter season there also comes the possibility of inclement weather. For the safety of our members and staff we at times may need to adjust club hours or programming. The following reminders are a good resource in these poor weather situations.

CLUB CLOSING NOTIFICATION

• Club closing or reduced open hours are first communicated through Facebook and in a special orange banner that will appear at the top of every page on the website. If you have the RAC app, you will also receive a notification if you allow notifications on your device.

CLUB PROGRAMMING GUIDELINES

WHEN SCHOOL IS IN SESSION - The club follows the lead of the Rochester Public Schools:

• All fee based classes are cancelled until 12 pm.
• Check the RAC app for Group Fitness class cancellations. Classes will be conducted unless an instructor is unable to travel to the club.
• Personal Training or Private Lessons/Instruction will be left up to the discretion of the trainer or instructor.
• No extra hours of Neighborhood staffing or Pool lifeguarding.

• All afternoon/evening fee based classes will be cancelled.
• Check the RAC app for Group Fitness class cancellations. Classes will be conducted unless an instructor is unable to travel to the club.
• Personal Training or Private Lessons/Instruction will be left up to the discretion of the trainer or instructor. Swimming Private lessons will be cancelled.
• If the club is still able to be open:
  • The Neighborhood will be staffed regular scheduled hours if they can make it in.
  • The Pool will have a lifeguard regular scheduled hours if they can make it in.

• All fee based classes will be cancelled.
• Check the RAC app for Group Fitness class cancellations. Classes will be conducted unless an instructor is unable to travel to the club.
• Personal Training or Private Lessons/Instruction will be left up to the discretion of the trainer or instructor. Swimming Private lessons will be cancelled.
• If the club is still able to be open we call in extra staff to come in and:
  • The Neighborhood will be staffed (starting at 9:30am) during the day if they can make it in.
  • The Pool will have a lifeguard 9:30am to 8:30pm on snow days if they can make it in.

• There may be situations in which we will be open, but cancel programming for the day, and situations when we will close entirely.
• The final decision will be made by RAC Management as early as possible so members can be informed in a timely manner.
