The RAC Team has been working hard preparing for summer and all that will happen over the next three months. The prep work that goes into providing quality programming has been going on for months. Our team is hiring lifeguards, day camp associates, outdoor maintenance as well as tennis camp staff. The new faces around the club are a sign that we are going into our busy summer season.
The Management Team trains staff, so they are ready to serve you as well as provide memorable experiences. The Maintenance Team shifts its focus to preparing the outdoor pool, tennis courts, furniture placement, and overall property beautification. There is a lot to do. But, we have a talented team in place that cares deeply about your experience at the club.
Summer is also the season when area youth spend hours at the club. We offer a reminder that those under the age of 16 cannot be responsible for other youngsters. In addition, we ask that you talk to your teenagers about our expectations and policies. The RAC is a shared place for everyone. Horseplay and profanity will not be tolerated and may result in membership termination. Please remember to bring your Electronic ID to make check-in quicker. We do not mind checking you in if you do not have one, however it may take more time.
We look forward to seeing you at the club.

What's NEW!
Welcome, Kayla!
I am Kayla Bretzman, the RAC's new massage therapist. I graduated from Riverland College in Austin, Minnesota completing their massage therapy program. I graduated in 2021 and have been massaging for over a year. My specialties are Swedish massage as well as relaxation massage. In my free time, I enjoy playing volleyball and hanging out with family and friends. My friends would describe me as easy-going, very approachable, and a good listener. SAQ training improves balance, power, and neuromuscular firing patterns. Power and strength conditioning will be adapted to individual needs. These training techniques aid in the performance of any sport, but it is especially useful for those that are quick-paced and require fast movements such as tennis, soccer, or basketball.

Member Pet Peeves
Those who skip showering before entering RAC pools (whirlpool or swimming pools).
One study shows that about 50% of people do not shower before entering a pool (whirlpool or swimming pool). This number may be higher. That means perspiration, lotions, urine and fecal matter, as well as any other microbes found on our skin and hair are carried into the pool.
Here is why all members should shower with soap and water before entering a pool:
Chlorine does not kill everything. Chlorine is a highly effective disinfectant. Chlorine doesn’t work on everything, and it does not work instantly. Although chlorine kills many things quickly, there are some microbes that may take days to kill.
Showering before entering a pool removes sweat, lotions, sunscreen, bacteria, and organic matter. The chemicals in the pool will not have to work as hard and more illnesses can be prevented.
If everyone who used the RAC's pools would shower first, the frequency that pools are drained for maintenance would decrease. It would increase the pools' availability and reduce downtime.
