Team Power RAC Has Had a Strong Start to the Year!
Brandon Vandermarliere, RAC Fitness Associate, deadlifted 700 lbs while only weighing 198 lbs. This was a 60 lb competition best for Brandon in only his third competition. Brandon is only 26 lbs short of breaking the AWPC All Time World Record, and has the heaviest deadlift in the world of any drug free lifter under 200 lbs this year.
Denay Kelly, 52, took first place in her Powerlifting debut and set personal bests on her bench press (160 lbs) and deadlift (285 lbs). She will be competing again in March at the USAPL Masters Brawl.
Joe Lovely, 49, deadlifted 515 lbs which beat his previous personal best by 14 lbs. Joe has been Powerlifting for 2 years and has lost over 120 lbs since he started exercising 6 years ago.
Lindzey Groth, RAC Personal Trainer, bench pressed 155 lbs which is a competition personal best for her. Lindzey will be competing at Nationals in April, where she placed in the top three last year. Lindzey also served as the coach for Denay Kelly at this same meet.
Mikaela Raddatz deadlifted a personal best of 350 lbs earning her sixth first place finish as a competitive powerlifter. She is back in full force after rehabbing a torn hamstring in 2018 and is looking to significantly increase this number, along with her squat and bench press in 2019.
Steve Boring, RAC Fitness Director, broke the National Bench Press record for single ply equipped with a bench press of 501 lbs. Steve will be attempting to win his third National Championship in April, and his second World Championship in August.
