Multisport and Kid Fitness Camps Added to Tennis Camp Line Up

Summer is a time for learning and developing new skills while having lots of fun! This year the Rochester Athletic Club tennis staff is offering a multitude of camps with the focus on learning, friendships, and exercise. While some of our camps focus primarily on tennis (ROGY camps), others focus on the development of overall athleticism and fitness (KidFit and RACSport camps). From our youngest athletes (aged 3) through high school athletes, we are offering something for everyone. Kids do not have to have any experience to participate in these camps. Equipment will be provided!

 

AGES 3-5:

R*O*G*Y My First Tennis Camp – Join us for four days of movement skills and beginning tennis! My First Tennis camp consists of game based learning for our smallest athletes. This camp is offered Monday through Thursday from 11:00-11:45am. FEE: $40

AGES 4-11:

R*O*G*Y Morning Half Day Tennis Camps  - These four hour camps consist of game-based athletic development (running, jumping, direction change, sending and receiving skills), a tennis lesson, tennis games, assorted indoor and outdoor activities (including swimming on Fridays), and a snack. R*O*G*Y Camps are appropriate for beginners through more experienced players (Red Beginner through Orange Advanced levels). Camps run from 8:00am (7:30 drop off available) through 12:00 noon. Afternoon care is available through the Neighborhood PM camps. FEE: $212.50

  • July 5-6 (R*O*G*Y Firecracker Tennis Camp – 2 days only)
  • July 16-20 (R*O*G*Y Mid-Summer Tennis Camp)
  • July 30-August 3 (R*O*G*Y US Open Tennis Camp)
  • August 20-24 (R*O*G*Y August – End of Summer Camp)

RACSport Half Day Camps - These new camps were designed for kids who like to play a variety of sports. Each day consists of athletic development drills and games, followed by a variety of outdoor and indoor sports activities including tennis, soccer, volleyball, ultimate Frisbee, swimming (Fridays), etc. Each day will be different! Camps run from 8:00am (7:30 drop off available) through 12:00 noon. Afternoon care is available through the Neighborhood PM camps. FEE: $150

  • July 9-13
  • August 6-10

KidFit Camps – Athletic development and basic fitness will be taught in a fun game-based curriculum. KidFit camps are appropriate for kids wanting to improve their fitness or looking for a speed, agility, quickness workout. Each day will include fitness activities, a tennis lesson, and group fitness games. Camps run from 8:00am (7:30 drop off available) through 12:00 noon. Afternoon care is available through the Neighborhood PM camps. FEE: $150

  • July 23-27
  • August 13-17

 

AGES 11-17

Green Ball / TEEN (Yellow Ball) JV Prep Camps – Join us for three hours of tennis fitness, instruction, and match play for beginning and intermediate level players wishing to prepare for our ACE program or High School Junior Varsity tennis. Classes will run Monday through Friday from 1:00-4:00pm. FEE: $150

  • July 23-27
