• We are operating with a Reservation System. Having a RAC app account set up will be the most efficient way to make a reservation and enter the RAC during your reserved time. Learn how to be set up (invited) for the app here. Phone reservations will be taken as well if you do not have access to the RAC App (once the club opens).

A reservation system was recommended in the Stay Safe MN plan in order to comply with the allowed capacity. 

We plan to phase reservations out as soon as possible, but there may be some areas that a reservation will be needed longer than others. 

Another important factor we considered is that once a member checks into the club, they can go anywhere.  This causes problems when we are trying to focus on capacity limits.  We also did not want to turn away members at the door if the club was too busy.  

Yes. There is no fee to freeze your membership and no fee to reinstate your membership.  We know that there may be many reasons why a member would not be ready to come back to the club when we re-open. We also realize that we may not open with some of the amenities that are important to you.

Covid-19 freeze requests may remain in effect through December 31, 2020, however, members can reach out to the business office before December 31, 2020, if they would like to unfreeze their account prior to the end of the year.

The RAC will not be discounting membership dues.

There are many answers to this question. First and foremost, we are guided by Federal, State and local guidelines. These guidelines shift as we continue to learn more about COVID-19.

The RAC is very active in the Health and Fitness Industry. We participate in several calls a week with other clubs around the country. There are over thirty clubs on these phone calls. We also participate in several webinars a week with our industry trade organizations. The entire health club industry is committed to open responsibly and is sharing best practices.

With the above guidelines and best practices in place, the management team looked at each area of the club in detail. They were guided by answering the following questions:

  1. How will members walk through the club?
  2. How will the member walk through your area?
  3. What will the member see?
  4. How will the member feel safe?
  5. How will we foster social distancing?
  6. How will we foster proper sanitization?
  7. How will we keep our staff safe?
  8. What processes need to be implemented?

Once this task was completed, the management team was tasked with implementing the plan. Daily huddles provided the opportunity to vet out new information, processes, and concerns. The finished version was sent to state and local government leaders.

Membership Dues Details:

  • All memberships started on June 10, 2020.
  • All members had a credit on their account because of the shutdown.
  • The shutdown credit was the equivalent of 44 days of prepaid dues.
    • Because of this credit, members were not billed membership dues for June and July (52 days)
  • July 2nd billing included August dues and in-house charges from March 1st – June 30th.

Yes.  Making a reservation will be very easy with the RAC App.  You can also call for a reservation (507) 287-9300.  

You may come to the club without a reservation, but you may have to wait until we check-in those with reservations first.  After that, we will be able to determine if there is an opening. We will gladly reserve you a spot in the area you wish to use.

Remember to bring your EID as you will still need to check into the club after we verify your reservation.

We have invested in a few different sanitizing products.  All products have proven effective against COVID-19.  

We have purchased two electrostatic sprayers (handheld and backpack style) that will allow us to spray the touchpoints quickly.  

We have also invested in Nanoseptic skins that provide a safe touchpoint on many door handles around the club.

We have added many sanitizing stations conveniently located around the facility.
