What would you say to someone who is considering personal training?
Everyone can benefit from a personal trainer – even other trainers! Whether it’s to give you ideas to make your workouts more interesting, help you break through performance plateaus, or even just to be a good listener while you blow off some steam, personal trainers are there to meet your individual needs.
What is something you wish people knew about exercise?
As cliché as it sounds, learn to love the process. Most people will make tons of progress when they first start exercising, but then progress slows down exponentially which be discouraging. Find something you enjoy and find ways to stay consistent!
What do you enjoy about being a personal trainer?
There are many things I enjoy about my job, but my favorite part is helping people reach their goals. It’s one of the reasons I want to also be a physical therapist. I love having my clients look back to when they first started training with me and see how much progress they’ve made!
What is your approach to training?
My approach to training is to start with a strong foundation (proper form, basic nutrition, exercise principles) and slowly build upward. Just like our bodies, a building needs a solid foundation to stand the test of time.
