One of the RAC’s values is to give back to the community.
In that spirit, the management team has delivered Meals on Wheels weekly since the club opened. Our management team also picks up the trash on the grounds and along 19th Street each spring with the “Litter Bit Better” community program. Each year, they also do a service project for an area non-profit organization.
We value supporting community events and initiatives and donating to local charities and organizations. We try to say ‘yes’ to as many things as we can and do not turn down requests for silent auctions and raffles.
Recent volunteer projects include helping paint and split wood at Oxbow Zoo and helping landscape for the Byron Area Veterans Memorial. Recent events include hosting blood drives, a dealing with dementia seminar, and a 911 remembrance step stair climbing event. We also hold our own silent auction in the Front Lobby throughout the year.
Charities the RAC supports:

Silent Auction Charity Wall
We have installed a glass enclosure on the back side of the Front Desk. In it, we showcase a charity quarterly and present silent auction merchandise (sports jerseys, memorabilia, cinema, etc.).
Auctions are currently scheduled to run weekly, starting and ending on Wednesdays. Members and non-members can bid on items of interest while supporting the quarter’s charity. All proceeds from the silent auction items go to the charity showcased quarterly.

To nominate a local charity for the quarterly drawing please email us at charity@racmn.com. We randomly draw a charity at designated times throughout the year.
