Kaitlin is originally from Aurora, MN and moved to Rochester in 2017. She has a Bachelor’s degree in Dietetics from North Dakota State University, and is a Registered Dietitian and a NASM Certified Personal Trainer. In her spare time, you can find her gardening, biking, strength training, and chasing after her 3 pets.
What would you like to say to someone who is considering personal training?
It doesn’t hurt to try it out! A personal trainer is there to meet you where you’re at and help you get to where you want to be. We can help you build confidence in the gym that translates to an increased sense of wellbeing in life, and also serve as a source of motivation and accountability.
What is something you wish people knew about food and exercise?
I wish more people built a healthy relationship with food and exercise earlier in life, as both of these things truly help with fostering our own wellbeing and preventing disease down the road. But the good news is, if you’re looking to make healthy lifestyle changes, it’s never a bad time to start!
What are some of your interests?
I have a passion for gardening…I love that I can have fresh produce readily available during the summer months, and it’s been fun incorporating it into my meals and snacks. Spending all that time outside is also a plus! I also love to stay active through walking, biking, strength training, and trying new things. Rock climbing and Pilates are two newer activities I’ve tried that I’m liking. I’ve learned to view exercise as a form of stress-relief and enjoyment, rather than something I “have” to do.
What do you enjoy about being a dietitian and personal trainer?
What I enjoy most is being able to work one-on-one with clients and seeing things “click”. It’s my favorite thing to help someone craft a healthy lifestyle that works for them and that they don’t feel the need to take a break from.
