Lauren was born and raised in Muskego, WI. She moved to Rochester after living in South Florida for a year after graduating from Winona State University. She studied Cell and Molecular Biology and Spanish while playing middle blocker on the volleyball team. She recently became certified as a personal trainer from ACE.
When not working at Mayo Clinic as a Research Technologist, Lauren enjoys being involved in volleyball – whether it be playing or as a volunteer coach for Century High School. She loves traveling, hiking with her husband and Gaia her dog, and visiting the local breweries!
Fitness has always been a part of her life. Lauren has run two marathons, three tough mudders, and is always finding new ways to stay active and moving. She has a passion for sharing her knowledge of the fitness world with all those who are willing to adopt the lifestyle.
What led you to the RAC?
I came to the RAC after getting my CPT and being referred to the RAC by a friend. I had a similar fitness community in my hometown and thought it would be a great place to start my career as a personal trainer.
What are some of your specialties?
Besides general fitness (weight training, HIIT, etc.), I specialize in pre/postnatal fitness and women’s health.

I traveled to Cape Town, South Africa for a three week long internship to work with non-profit organizations and to play volleyball. I am a certified scuba diver and have been on over 20 dives.
What is your approach to training?
My approach to training is to make it something that you will always want to come back to. It doesn’t have to be a super long/hardcore workout, it just needs to be something you come back to in order to turn it into a lifestyle.
